About the Event
Mirabilia is an annual festival and international summer course dedicated to medieval music. Each edition explores a different historical theme, bringing together leading specialists to study and perform the musical repertories associated with that subject through concerts, lectures, workshops, and performance.
The 2026 edition is devoted to The Crusades: Musical Cultures Along the Road to the Holy Land.
The programme approaches the Crusades from several complementary perspectives, including:
Cantos de los cristianos de Oriente, a rare concert devoted to Eastern Christian chant, performed by Lamia Yared, Efrén López, and Didem Başar.
A lecture by Dr David Catalunya presenting The Organ of Bethlehem, an international research project dedicated to recovering the soundscape of the medieval organ of the Basilica of the Nativity.
