  • 1 min read

The registration for the SSCLE conference in Porto this summer is now open at https://www.crusadespayment.online.

Early-bird rates apply until 1 May, so register soon!

The website works like an online shopping site so you put items in your basket for purchase, then add your information, and finally you pay. We offer different registration options, namely 1. Full registration (social and academic), 2. Guest registration (social only), and Online registration. The Port Wine Trip and Boat Trip are two extra excursions in Porto that you can add to your registration but the number of tickets for these trips are limited. Register each conference attendee individually (see the instructions on the registration site).

On the top of the page, there are several links including one to the main conference page where you will find all the information needed for the event and a link for donations. Please consider giving some extra for our bursaries to make the event affordable for all members.

We are happy to announce that we were able to negotiate a special rate with a local hotel chain that offers different levels of accommodation. Note that the Ipanema Park Hotel is further away from the venue than the Ipanema or Fenix hotels. Tuela is also near and the cheapest of the four. https://sscleporto2026.hfhotels.com

For all questions email the conference organisers at sscleconference@gmail.com

The 11th SSCLE Quadrennial Conference, 'Crossing Seas, Crossing Cultures' will be held at the University of Porto, 29 June–3 July 2026
